Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 2023Introduction and Purpose
Welcome to the privacy policy for Savanna Drop. This document details how we collect, use, and protect your information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and guidance from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. Our terraforming simulation is completely free, and we only process data necessary to maintain your progress and Terra-Spores balance.
Information We Collect
When you interact with games like Seed Propagator or Weather Cycle, we automatically collect non-identifiable usage data. This includes your device type, interaction frequency, and local storage data used to save your current Terra-Spores count. We do not require account registration, ensuring your personal identity remains unlinked to your gameplay.
Source of Information
All data collected is obtained directly from your interactions with the Savanna Drop interface. We do not purchase or acquire data from third-party data brokers. Information is generated in real-time as you navigate the canopy and operate our simulated terminals.
Storage and Security
We implement robust security measures to protect the integrity of your session data. Information regarding your Terra-Spores and interaction with Fossil Excavation is stored locally on your device and temporarily on our secure servers using encryption. We retain this data only for as long as necessary to provide a seamless entertainment experience.
Disclosure to Third Parties
Savanna Drop does not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We may share anonymous, aggregated gameplay statistics with service providers who assist us in hosting and maintaining the platform. Any such third party is bound by strict confidentiality obligations compliant with New Zealand law.
Cross-Border Transfers
Our servers may be hosted outside of New Zealand. In such events, we ensure that any cross-border transfer of data complies with the Privacy Act 2020, guaranteeing that the destination provides comparable safeguards to those mandated by New Zealand privacy regulations.
Access and Correction Rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to request access to and correction of any personal information we may inadvertently hold about you. Because Savanna Drop operates without user accounts, correcting your Terra-Spores balance or reset preferences can typically be done simply by clearing your device's browser cache.
Complaints to the Privacy Commissioner
If you believe your privacy rights have been breached while using the Savanna Drop platform, you may contact our support team. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a formal complaint with the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
